A Partial Post

. . . on "partial birth abortion". I'm still thinking through what I want to say about Gonzales v. Carhart, but in the meantime here and here are posts by a wonderful woman who owes her life to the medical procedure now held to be a federal crime.
Update: Lauren at Faux Real puts her finger on one thing (among many) that really bothers me about the Court's opinion: by effectively requiring the dismemberment of the aborted fetus, the Partial Birth Abortion Act cruelly deprives would-have-been-parents of an opportunity to hold and say goodbye to their lost babies.
