Book Meme

I've been tagged by Ann Bartow at Feminist Law Professors:

1. One book that changed your life?
Drucilla Cornell, The Philosophy of the Limit. The reasons are pretty complicated.

2. One book you have read more than once?
George Eliot, Silas Marner Not by choice--I changed high schools and was assigned to read it twice. Pretty much sums up my high school education.

3. One book you would want on a desert island?
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings. Middle Earth is my home away from home.

4. One book that made you laugh?
Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice--especially Mr. Collins's letter of introduction.

5. One book that made you cry?
Hmmm. I'm not much of a cryer. I don't know--Marx, The Communist Manifesto?

6. One book you wish had been written? I've read so little that whatever I wish for is probably out there. Oh, no, wait--my first book.

7. One book you wish had never had been written?
Richard Posner's aptly titled Law and Literature: A Misunderstood Relation. That passive voice can be so tricky sometimes (the subtitle was dropped in later editions).

8. One book you are currently reading?
Philip S. Foner, History of the Labor Movement in the United States (1947).

9. One book you have been meaning to read? Oh lordy where do I start? The Kalevala.

I tag arse poetica, freshwater jellyfish, the clampett formerly known as kafir, tekanji at Official Shrub.com Blog, and Bibi Cambridge.

One book that made me cry tremedously is " the notebook" by nicholas sparks. I love his books! I even saw its movie version and nonetheless, I still cried.

Impressive list.

"my first book"

I'm interested in that one.

Please tell us when it comes out.

As a student on a pre-law track, I'm most impressed with your distinction between law and justice.
