Library Thing is very cool

Last December I stumbled onto Library Thing, a wonderful site that provides an easy, convenient way to catalog your personal library and, if you choose, network with other book lovers. The site was profiled (as a time waster!) in the Wall Street Journal last month but I love it anyway. For one thing, it is just plain fun to look at all the books in my library, particularly at this time of year when I may actually have time to finally read one or two of them. It is also interesting to browse the libraries of other users with collections overlapping my own. Sort of like Myspace for nerds. Not that I would know anything about that.
