I will, of course, vote for Obama for President, and I will probably shed a tear or two of joy when I do so. I am very happy to have lived to see a Black man as not only the nominee of a major party but, very likely, the President of the United States. I am happy for myself. I am happy for all my Black friends and colleagues. I am happy that, at least for a while, I will be less embarrassed to be an American in this world.
However,
I would rather it had been Hillary.

I, too, would have preferred Hillary - but I celebrate the public declaration of your politics (both via blog and on campus). It is refreshing to have such a strong feminist professor!!!
