Things to Do and See in Los Angeles

As I walked from the subway stop to work this noon I saw a woman sleeping on the sidewalk in the sun. She was probably homeless, but she might have been a particularly rugged European tourist--blond, muscular, tanned, with her head pillowed on a knapsack. Another woman in a dress from Nordstrom stopped and took her picture.
